SEO and Social Media Usage for The Bud Farm
The Bud Farm is off to a good start. You’re name is already showing up on Google Searches, activating your “Google Plus Business Page” has started funneling visitors to your shop, and setting up your social media tie ins will begin producing results if you follow our plan below.
Search Engine Optimization Strategy for The Bud Farm
Currently Google is still indexing your website. But durning our build time we’ve submitted your site to Google to “crawl.” Their little robots are crawling through your website. And they’ve already identified some words due to our SEO crafting for you. The words Google currently associates with your website are attached at the back of this document in a table.
We’ll be monitoring the growth of your keywords over the next month to make sure we did our jobs. And it will be up to you to continue from the starting point we’ve given you. The first part of this document covers adding to your SEO.
How Google Views You
Google views your website and therefore your online business by what you say in the pages and posts of your website. Google reads your website, notices repeated words and identifies them as your keywords. If you say “recreational marijuana” in a page or post multiple times, Google believes that page is about recreational marijuana. If you say Mancos multiple times in the same page, Google believes your page is about recreational marijuana and Mancos.
The lightbulb might have gone off for you with the above paragraph and you might now be saying to yourself, “Say Colorado, Mancos, Durango, pot, marijuana, recreational, medical, etc, a million times.” To that I say, no don’t do that. Google also recognizes when people are “keyword spamming.” Fortunately we’ve provided you with the tools to recognize the difference between good SEO and Spamming. Yoast SEO Plugin is part of your website, and it will actually tell you if you’re doing a good job when you write posts.
