Topicals – Lotions, Salves, Oils, and Balms
What are Topicals?
Topicals are cannabis infused lotions, salves, oils, and balms. Made to be applied and absorbed through the skin (transdermal absorption), they provide an array of therapeutic effects. Relief from pain, inflammation, and soreness are just a fraction of what they can do.
How do they work?
Since they’re used transdermally, the THC or CBD does not get into your bloodstream. Thus, preventing the psychoactive effect of THC or CBD. They do, however, react and bind with the CB2 receptors of your endocannabinoid system. All humans have an endocannabinoid system. That and its receptors are found throughout the body in glands, immune cells, the brain, organs, and tissue. CB1 and CB2 being the primary receptors.
You talk and we listen
Oils, lotions, and salves are made to provide relief and provide treatment. From relieving pain, inflammation, headaches and sore muscles, to helping psoriasis, dermatitis, itching, arthritis, and cramps.
Here at The Bud Farm, we listen to our customers and patients. When we hear from enough of you that a specific topical has helped manage pain, we pass that along. You tell us oil “A” didn’t work great for pain but helped reduce inflammation, we pass that along. Or if a lot of you tell us a certain oil or lotion does not work at all- we stop carrying it.
But it’s you, our customers, that help us understand even more about our topicals. The more feedback we get, the more information we can pass along to you and our employees.
